What’s the difference between the Fanatec QR1 and the QR1-Lite?

The biggest difference is that the QR1 has full metal construction, while the QR1-Lite is made from plastic. This leads to a difference in the peak torque that each can handle. Because of this, the QR1-Lite enforces some limitations by disabling the high torque mode on Podium DD units.
The other big difference is the speed with which they allow wheels to be changed. The QR1 allows for very quick wheel changes with its spring-loaded sliding release mechanism, while the QR1-Lite uses a screw-tightened clamping mechanism.
